THE MISSION OF THE AME CHURCH

The Mission of the AME Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed. At every level of the connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the AME Church evolved: that is, to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy.

MOUNT CALVARY AME CHURCH

We are a Christ-centered church that believes in the full gospel message.
We believe in building and equipping disciples, and we are committed to reaching our city, state, and the world with the Gospel. We want to connect with people and grow an authentic relationship with Jesus.
We are a word-based, soul-winning, love-centered church that is - “Large Enough to Grow You - Small Enough, Know You!”
Join a place where people are equipped and encouraged to Grow together in Christ, Give out of themselves, and Go into all the World.

We are part of the Second Episcopal District of the AME Church under the leadership of Bishop James L. Davis and Arelis B. Davis, Episcopal Supervisor. Our Presiding is Elder Rev. Johnny R. Calhoun of the Baltimore District. Rev. Bobby Cox is the Pastor. Rev. Angie Cox is the First Lady.
